The HSS AKINGAM is committed to protecting the privacy and
information it collects from its community. This policy explains how The HSS
AKINGAM collects and handles information it receives from applicants and their
families, students and their families, alumni, employees (including applicants
for employment) and others who interact with The HSS AKINGAM or its website.
Other than IP addresses and traffic information collected described below, we
do not collect personally identifying information on our website unless you
choose to provide such information to us.
This policy sets forth the type of information we collect, how
it is stored and used, and the rights and options you may have with respect to
your personal information.
Our goal
is to collect the minimum amount of information necessary - whether from
applicants, enrolled students, alumni, employees, or contractors.
We collect information you provide us. A person’s interaction
with The HSS AKINGAM occurs during the admissions process, and throughout a student’s
enrolment at The HSS AKINGAM, and as alumni. We also collect information from
applicants for employment as well as employees and contractors of the school.
It is important to the School to protect the privacy of young
children who may use our website. The School does not knowingly solicit or
collect the personal information of children under the age of 13 on this
website. Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to submit an inquiry
form or application to the School. Parents or legal guardians of a child under
the age of 13 must complete the inquiry form and consent to the submission of
an application to the School.
The primary purpose of information collection through the HSS AKINGAM
School App is centred around the admission process. The app/website ensures
that only necessary information required for admission procedures is obtained
from users. This includes details such as student's name, contact information,
previous academic records, and other relevant data essential for the admission
process. Any additional information not directly related to admission is not
solicited through the app to maintain data privacy and security for users.
Moreover, it is imperative to note that the HSS AKINGAM School
App /website upholds a strict policy against requesting sensitive information
such as account details or One-Time Passwords (OTPs) from its users. This
measure is in place to prevent unauthorized access to personal accounts and to
protect users from potential phishing scams or online fraud. By refraining from
soliciting account credentials within the app, the school ensures a secure
digital environment for all users, promoting trust and confidence in its
services.
Additionally, the school app/website collects photos of students
during the registration process and various curricular or co-curricular
activities organized by the school. These photos may be used for internal
purposes, such as identification badges, event documentation, or academic
records. However, the school respects the privacy preferences of its users regarding
the display of their photos on the school website or app. If an individual
chooses not to have their photos showcased on the digital platforms, they are
kindly requested to submit a consent form expressing their preference. This
mechanism allows users to have control over the visibility of their images
online, ensuring their privacy rights are upheld at all times.
